How does your building perform?
High performance buildings maximize efficiency, minimize energy and water use, and provide a healthy environment for occupants. The Department of Energy reports that US buildings consume 45 quadrillion BTUs of energy annually (US Energy Information Administration). The building sector is responsible for 45% of all CO2 emissions and the average commercial building wastes 30% of the energy it consumes.
This website, presented by North Carolina Building Performance Association (NCBPA), serves as a one-stop free online resource for building performance. Building owners, operators and facility managers are encouraged to learn about, and take action on, best practices for designing, constructing, improving and maintaining buildings to perform well. Additional site features include rebate and incentive opportunities, DIY tips for restaurants and retailers, and a Contractor Directory connecting visitors to architects, commissioning agents and other contractors able to improve the performance of buildings across North Carolina, no matter what the issue.
NCBPA welcomes you to learn about – and take action on – the many benefits of building performance.
